Academic Counselor

I am originally from the Bay Area in California and moved to Seattle in 2018 to pursue an undergraduate degree at the University of Washington.  I graduated in June 2022 with a double major in Creative Writing and Dance and a minor in Education.  During my time in undergrad, I served as a Resident Adviser and Assistant Resident Director in Housing & Food Services, which sparked my love for supporting students in navigating a large university setting, especially those who have been minoritized by the same systems that make higher education exclusive.  Though I was planning to become an English teacher upon entering UW, I became more and more interested in how I can use my knowledge to help others reach their individual goals regardless of their areas of academic interest.  I am excited to be with the Humanities Academic Services to continue these passions professionally.  Outside of work, I will most likely be found tap dancing, swing dancing, baking, reading, or trying to convince my tuxedo cat, Ella, to cuddle with me.
