Advanced Placement (AP) scores and International Baccalaureate (IB) grades in Latin are taken into consideration by the Department of Classics.

There are no costs associated with placement.

Discussion of a student's level of previous experience in the language.

No preparation or study materials are necessary for the Latin placement process.

The Department of Classics does not offer proficiency tests in Latin.

No academic credit is awarded for placement into a specific Latin course.
