Currently, there are no Romanian language classes offered at UW, so no placement tests are available for students who are looking to continue their studies in Romanian. At this time, only a proficiency test is available for students who wish to clear their degree's world language proficiency requirement.

There is no placement assessment available for Romanian because Romanian language classes are not currently offered at UW. Please read over the department’s web page for the most up to date information: Examinations and Tests | Slavic Languages & Literatures.

Proficiency tests are intended for students who are trying to meet the UW’s world language proficiency requirement for graduation by demonstrating a proficiency beyond the 1st year level. Placement assessments are different, and are intended for students who will continue taking classes in Romanian at UW.

Departmental points of contact for Romanian results will vary by year; please refer to the departmental testing webpage to see who to contact for results.

The test score is valid for 1 year following the test date.

Students will not have access to specific scores, but placement or proficiency outcomes will be reported to students from testing faculty following completion of the test.
