I was born and raised in Newcastle, South Africa. I crossed the Atlantic to pursue my undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College in Minnesota where I received my bachelors studying Chinese, Economics and Political Science. While in undergrad I enjoyed working in residential life where I was first introduced to a role where I could support students. After graduating I moved to Shanghai, China where I worked at a public university before working with an American study-abroad company facilitating programs in Shanghai.
